Introduction	Obviously, I am not Elwin Ransom. I am a theologically and politically conservative evangelical Christian. I am a professor teaching in the humanities at Christian academic institution. I have earned a BS, an MA, and a PhD in my field, and published several articles and a book with a university press. I’ve had a number of personal experiences, a lifelong interest in the paranormal, and do not see its responsible study as mutually exclusive to either my profession or my faith. Unfortunately, you’ll simply have to take my credentials on faith. I know that my colleagues in my profession would frown on my paranormal studies, perhaps to the point of shutting me out of publication opportunities. Also, I don’t know how my superiors at my institution would react. Until I become independently wealthy, I will not put my normal career at risk. I don’t think my anonymity is necessarily a bad thing. If, by the grace of God, I get regular readers, I want the focus to be on the ideas. The fact that I have reason to remove myself from the picture makes that easier. Also, as I progress with posts, if you find them useful, please recommend my site to people you think might be interested.
