Introduction	I started Safe Haven in January of 1995, with the help of friends and a responsive Board of Directors. I would go to auctions and see mistreated and neglected horses. This would break my heart because I knew they deserved a better life including someone who would love them and care for them. That was the vision that brought Safe Haven to reality. We have been rescuing horses since 1995 now and take them in as space allows.
