| Introduction | If there’s a cake gene, I’ve got it. Several of my great, great aunts and uncles worked in bakeries in the Canton neighborhood of Baltimore, MD. My grandma is a first-class baker and cook (crab cakes are her specialty). Also, when my sisters and I were young, my mom baked our cakes and our dad decorated them. So here I am, back in Baltimore, following a family tradition. |
