Occupation | Proprietor & Nurseryman |
Location | Yuba City, Cal, Northern California, United States |
Introduction | A specialty nursery & eclectic gift shop nurseryman for an accumliative time of over 15 years, my first nursery job was working summers at the local high school working in the FFA greenhouse & participating in the FFA Ornamental Horticulture program, and placing in my senior year 1st Place in regional state competition. I have worked for other nurseries over many years, including Eisley's Nursery in Auburn, Fountain Square in Citrus Heights, and The Seedling Nursery here locally in Yuba City. My next venture was to take a business class with the local SBDC extension with Yuba College, and after completing & being certified I opened Vintagehouse Nursery Co. with my partner, Michael Clark in September of 2004 in the Downtown area of Yuba City. Located in an old 1880 Victorian farm house, we're on a 1/4 acre of land and also have inside the house, an eclectic mix of vintage-like items, like candles, French soaps and holiday collectibles from a bygone era of the past. We have customers coming from Redding, Red Bluff, Chico, Paradise, Sacramento, Bay Area, Ft. Bragg, and many others. |
