| Introduction | I am the mother of three children, two of whom I gave birth, and one we adopted. I grew up in Huntington, West Virginia and graduated from Marshall University. I was once a very independent, single, officer in the Army, who thought I would never find the right man. And then I met my husband during my second deployment, in Iraq. We went on to marry in Hawaii, where we lived and gave birth to our son, and then moved on to Kansas, where we gave birth to our daughter. And now here we are in Alabama, and we just adopted a boy. Our lives wouldn't be normal, without huge changes always happening. Being a stay-at-home mom has been the best, most difficult, most stressful, most rewarding, most time-consuming job ever. If only us good moms could get paid by the mommy fairy for all of our hardwork and dedication. |
