| Favorite books | My favorite book in high school was A Tale of Two Cities, which was odd because almost everyone else I knew hated it. I just thought it was the most mature, well-written novels that I have ever read, and it was far from the coming-of-age young adult novels that were stuffed down our throats through high school. I do read a lot, and it's sometimes hard to describe what really attracts me to books. I love when there are two main characters that show an indestructible bond between one another. I love when there seems to be an underlying "bomb" inside a character that could go off at any moment. The story also has to be very intriguing without any standard clichés or common outcomes. I like something new and refreshing all the time. A few of my favorites would be Lord of the Flies, Hamlet, The Iliad, The Kite Runner, The Lord of the Rings Series, The Hobbit, The Things They Carried, In The Lake of the Woods, and A Death In Vienna. |
