| Introduction | Six years ago I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time to meet my wife, an amazing woman who would change my life for the better, helping me overcome 15 years of addiction and to enroll in College, where I will be graduating in July with a degree in Psychology and Child Development at the age of 35. I am now the Father of three boys and one on the way. Through my education I have been able to understand the importance of reading to children and how it builds a relationship between child and parent. As the world has changed and the emphasis on fathers has started to surface in the family, I wish to start this blog in an effort to help show fathers a way in which they can build a bond with their children and also teach them the importance of reading and learning. I want to bring awareness that fathers are as important to a childs development as their mothers. I will do this by showing ways to incorporate reading time, reviewing books for children from birth to 7 years old, showing ways to help launguage development, imagination, and social skills. |
