About me

Location Madison, Wisconsin
Introduction I'm a writer who has spent a large part of my life working. I don't just mean that I've been working since I got my first job at Woolworth's when I was 16. I mean, when you take into account that I've worked most weekends over the past decade, with way too many 60- and 70-hour weeks thrown in for good measure, I've spent the majority of my waking hours working. That is about to change, as I head into the brave new world of unemployment. Since this forced vacation is such a radical departure for me, and I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with those 16 waking hours each day (other than the obvious look for a new job), I've decided to chronicle the adventure. Maybe I'll learn something along the way. If a tree falls in the forest and there is nobody there to hear it, does it make a sound? If a writer blogs and there is nobody there to read it, does it make any sense? I'm about to find out.
