| Introduction | The Farmington River Watershed Association is excited to introduce a new Fundraiser/Outreach program. Fabulous Fish for the Farmington is inspired by the natural diversity of the Watershed, the beauty of fish, and the creativity of local artists. The Fundraiser involves engaging artists both locally and internationally to decorate life-size carved wooden fish. The folk-art fish will go on display in February in the new Pia Sjölin Design Gallery in Canton. You will have a chance to hook a fish of your own at a silent auction being held from April 1-16 ending with a gala the evening before opening day of fishing season. Pia Sjolin, our resident Swedish artist has connected our local organization with the artist community in Alingsas, Sweden where the Saveon River has become our sister river.
