| Introduction | I am a teacher and writer with varied interests and a wealth of unique life experiences that have molded me. My father died when I was eight years old, and my stepfather was a farmworker. My mother did not work outside the home. My parents always stressed the importance of education as a way to a better quality of life. I have experienced life in Delano during the Grape Strike of the 60's and stumbled into many interesting and skillbuilding jobs throughout the years. I am still in search of a better quality of life for all. Through understanding and sharing knowledge, I want to do my part to make a positive difference in the world from my little corner of it. |
