Introduction	I grew up in Kansas City, but worked in rural Kansas schools for over thirty years, twenty of which as a middle school English teacher. I am a proud father, devoted husband, and I write every day.
Interests	Kids, Career, Creating!
Favorite movies	Anything intelligent. I love independent films that are well written. I don't generally like big budget Hollywood Action Blockbusters. I like films that inspire and challenge me, as I have become a little jaded to overdone special effects.
Favorite music	I like folk, folk rock with intelligent lyrics. I also have been enjoying to listening to baroque classical every Sunday morning on our public radio station.
Favorite books	On Writing - Stephen King, The Alvin Maker Series - Orson Scott Card, Fearless Fourteen - Janet Evanovich, The Mathew Scudder Mysteries - Lawrence Block, The Caedfeld Mysteries - Ellis Peters. I like mysteries and thrillers and well written non-fiction - such as The Eight Day War about the 1966 Israeli-Egyptian War.
