Introduction | I was born on May 19, 1964. My Father worked in advertising and was part of the 'Madmen' scene. My Mother was a professional dancer and we travelled a lot in the early years of my life. I have a fondness for my youth spent in California. Eventually we settled in Vancouver for good where I attended Elementary and High School. In my teens I joined my brother in his passion for bicycle racing and excelled, loosing weight and eventually winning the silver medal in the BC Summer Games. Music would become my obsession and bring me where I am today. Again my brother took the lead and introduced me to salsa, jazz and alternative music. I left for NYC in 1986 on a Canada Council Grant. A lucky break (spurred on by my college buddy Scott Harding) landed me an audition with John Lurie who hired me to play in the Lounge Lizards. Since then I lived music in NYC and traveled all over the globe. |
