| Introduction | I grew up in Prince Albert, then attended post-secondary schools while living in Saskatoon, Kitchener, Halifax, Victoria, Ottawa, Toronto, and finally back in Prince Albert. Five of these post-secondary institutions deemed me worthy of a degree or diploma. Since moving back to Prince Albert in 1998 I have been an active volunteer for health and environmental organizations, as well as a member of four boards and committees for the city. I ran for city council in 2000, and for mayor of Prince Albert in 2006. I attend most city council meetings, read the background documents for them beforehand, and speak during council's public hearing and public forum segments (mp3 or wav files of most of my presentations are available). To keep up with current local news I read the PA newspaper and the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix every day. |
