| Introduction | I've always created, either from kits or needle crafts or any kind of craft really, in my mind it wasn't art. Art was when I started painting in 2014. Turns out I was wrong. It was all art. I've been painting for 7 or 8 years now. I still do needle arts, knitting and counted cross stitch and a few other things. I need all of the creative things I do. I tried to paint a bunch of different things in a bunch of different ways and mediums. There were a bunch of images and sights and things that I found interesting and tried to capture realistically. It was okay, but my heart was still searching for the thing that spoke to me and allowed me to speak to the world from my canvas. I found my groove when I discovered abstract and non-representational art. The blank surface speaks to me and I follow where it takes me. Sometimes the work and I get lost. But not always. Sometimes it's just magic. It's happy mistakes, wrong turns that deliver you to a new and exciting place, taking a chance with a color or a stroke. It's joy and it fills me.
