| Introduction | Great variety in first 30 years - at 7 schools in Pune & Bombay & in Washington D.C.; College in D.C., Belgaum, Pune and Boston; student-teaching at MIT; Organising India-Lobby (speakers bureau & newspaper-mailings & India Festival) at time of India-China war, Volunteer speaking tours for World Univ. Service; working on Rte 128 in the 60s on the on-line, real-time, graphic and text man-machine interface, visiting centres of work in this field, building text-editing system on Project MAC for MIT Press, then one year transition at Harvard Bus Sch. Then 9 years teaching management, Researching and Consulting at IIM Ahmedabad; since 1974 working to create and run Systems Research Institute in Pune (a not-for-profit think tank): work on Futures, developing Info systems in and for Govt., spreading use of Computer Simulation, GIS applications, and policy studies in Population, Energy, IT, Tptn, Health, etc. Now hoping to spread awareness of problem areas and solution-directions relevant to India's Future. |
