Introduction After a full-time career teaching English and Theatre Studies in schools, and later Creative Writing in Adult Education, I took early retirement to concentrate on my own writing. My husband Russi and I divided our time between England and France for 6 years where we renovated an old agricultural building and joined a French choir. I also joined a French poetry group. In 2008 we had a new house built in Cailhau, a neighbouring village which has uninterrupted views of the Pyrenees. We lived in Cailhau full-time for 12 years. I edited Equinox a poetry magazine for 13 years and have edited The French Literary Review, a bilingual poetry and prose arts magazine for 13 years. Both magazines can be seen in the Poetry Library, London and on their website: www.poetrymagazines.org.uk. I ran an English Conversation group in Cailhau for 10 years and helped to run the village library. I was also secretary of the French art group Association ‘A’ which exhibited widely. It was here I exhibited my ceramic sculpture and bilingual chap books written in France, and Russi showed his paintings and sculpture. We relocated to the UK in June 2019.
