IntroductionJosiah was born at 5lbs. 2oz. on Jan 1, 2009 at 32 weeks in Colorado Springs. After a month in the NICU there, Josiah was finally transferred to Children's Hospital in Denver where he had kidney surgery. After 2 1/2 months Josiah came home on an NG feeding tube and oxygen.  After coming home, blood test showed that our little Jojo has Noonan Syndrome (PTPN 11) which answered so many questions as to why there was so much going on in his little body. Josiah has now had a total of 6 surgeries and was also diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy (CP) at about 3 years old. The diagnosis came so late when he was still struggling with gross and fine motor skills unlike most children with just Noonan Syndrome (PTPN 11). After reviewing a crainial MRI our doctors diagnosed him with CP. CP was caused by lack of oxygen to his brain at birth. We are so very blessed to have him here with us because he was resuscitated twice after birth!  Josiah's little life has really stretched the whole family in enormous ways. I think that pure true joy often comes when in deep sorrow and helplessness you find God. His power is perfected in our weakness!
