| Introduction | I'm Julia Bellows, an illustrator living in Los Angeles. Having been a kid with severe dyslexia who struggled in school; I began finding confidence early on, by defining myself as a creative person. I drew for hours every day. I later discovered my other love, performing, and earned my BFA In Acting from Cornish College of The Arts, Seattle Wa. I now see that the connection between performing and drawing is telling a story. And I recognize how my passion for comedic performance has made me a better illustrator. Through both comedy and illustrating, I aim to make people feel something and maybe laugh at it a little. I like working by hand, primarily in pen & ink with watercolors. I find inspiration in the combination of my affinity for 'self-improvement' books, as well as the sketch & improvisational comedy scene in Los Angeles. |
