Introduction	Since I returned to the United States in the summer of 2010 (after living in Spain for 2/3 of a year), I have not left the borders of my country, thereby deeply frustrating the part of my spirit committed to wanderlust. After surviving fall cuts at work, I used frequent flyer miles to book a six week journey, got an online teaching job to supplement my income, and Skype planned for hours with Danielle, my friend and traveling companion.
