| Introduction | My name is Jenni. I have (at least for a while) settled in the Land of Lincoln, Springfield Illinois. I ended up here, somehow, in my pursuit of a better life for myself. I went to college here and stayed after meeting the love of my life. I come from nowhere and everywhere at the same time. Growing up military, while giving me a great sense of wander, love of all kinds of cities and people, and experience in the world, it also gave me a lack of belonging, difficulty making and keeping friends, and confusion in who I am. I feel like every effort in my adult life is making up for that loss of myself as a child. As much as I appreciate the experiences I had as a child, I think it gave me a bit of Multiple Personality Disorder. I want to find out who I really am, what I really want in life, and where I want to be. And I want to be comfortable. I want to feel at home, and find my home in life, and in myself. Get out some wine,(I certainly will) and get comfortable, cause it's gonna be a long road to self-discovery. -Jenni |
