Introduction	a look around the city and the infrastructure of my mind. rotting piers is an inspiration from a dream about my old job wherein i returned to collect some belongings and found out the building was gone. it was built on a decaying pier and had fallen into the east river. i think this is a good operating metaphor for bygone things. i thought about punning on it and calling the blog "rotting peers", but my peers are actually pretty sturdy and nice people.
