| Favorite music | I've got a broad range of tastes, depending on my mood. Anything from The Cure (mostly their '80s stuff), to NIN (anything but the remixes), to The Knife (cool dancey-electronic music), to Marilyn Manson, to Depeche Mode. And I like it LOUD! |
| Favorite books | Well, I'm named for the Forest of Lothlorien, so Tolkein's Trilogy has to go in there. After that, I'm all over the place. So I'll break it down by categories. Favorite contemporary novel: The Time of Our Singing (Richard Powers) Favorite sci-fi: I'm going with an author here -- Ursula LeGuin, hands down Favorite Russian Lit selection: Crime and Punishment (Dostoyevsky) Favorite religious writer: Flannery O'Connor (Catholic) Favorite non-religious writer: Richard Dawkins (athiest) Favorite Shakespeare Play: Macbeth Favorite poet: Pablo Neruda Favorite comic writer: David Sedaris You get the idea. |
