| Introduction | Divorced, broke, surrounded by delusion, godless, and fantastically euphoric. I love learning, writing, taking pictures, and philosophizing. I’ve found “peace” in accepting the truth, even if that means that truth, for the time, is unknown. All said things have rooted me in an ever encompassing reality that is better than my wildest dreams. |
| Interests | Writing, reading, watching movies, biking, backpacking, thinking, talking over a table downtown with the most precious persons in my life--friends and family, laughing, and my favorite these days is dancing in grimy greased parking lots at night. Vacationing... The sheer beauty of being human--a mass of atoms that makes tinny tiny molecules, that work together to make up cells, that mend fascinatingly together to make the organs and organism from the surface of my flesh to the chemistry beneath. This is life. Mine is my one and only and nothing people quote or say or anything in the sky will scare me into a knee bent position begging for forgiveness. Instead, I will unflinchingly take up responsibility in these two hands. They are my consequences and I dare not let anything wash those lessons away. The lessons that have made me the person I am today. So what if I am wrong most will ask? Well, then, it really doesn't take God to be a good human, "for he never knew me". And, what made you so lucky to end up, most likely, the religion of your parents and those that surround you? You are the key, you bare complete responsibility, you are good, you are NOT alone, reach for something touchable--the flesh. Yes, the flesh aches for humanity's kindness and for those who divide us to find a bridge. Anti-theist is not a cuss word and it doesn't make up who I am. Why does this ONE subtraction frighten people? More interestingly, why do people assume that I am indeed "Godly"? Could it be I am no different with a subtraction? |
| Favorite movies | Juno, Into the Wild, Garden State, P.S., Home at the End of the World |
| Favorite music | Duffy, Nick Drake, Iron and Wine, The Shins, Elton John, Greg Laswell, Sia, Colbie Caillat, Wilco, Death Cab for Cutie, Eddie Vedder, Tori Amos, Norah Jones, Alexi Murdoch, etc. . . |
| Favorite books | Right now it is: Daniel Dennet's Consciousness Explained. Most recently, Micheal Shermer-Science Friction. All very good and suggested. However, my all time favorite read is the erratically emotional poems of the Russian poet Anna Akhmatova. Though emphatically different from the aforementioned authors, is worth anyone's time who would consider poetry a good read. |
