| Introduction | When I started digitally cutting for my paper crafting I started with a Cricut and being frustrated with cartridge limitations and the cost I very quickly updgraded and I purchased a KNK Zing (affectionately called Zigby) in May 2012 and never looked back. Back then I got great inspiration from the Make the Cut Forum. SVGCUTS.com was and still very much is a favourite site for me too for 3D paper craft project inspiration with excellent SVG files for sale. Papercrafting is my Zen - it's what I do to relax. Digital cutters allow me to explore my creativity beyond paper - ie vinyl, heat transfer vinyl, glass etching and more! I purchased a Silhouette Cameo in 2016 and I now exclusively use my Cameo and I have two Cameo 2 machines and a Cameo 4 machine. My KNKZing has been retired as the program Make the Cut is no longer supported on that machine and I find the Silhouette Cameo the superior machine. Skat Katz is the place to go in Australia if you are looking Silhouette Cameo. http://www.skatkatz.com.au/ Nowadays I make a lot of 3D Papercrafts mostly with cutting dies but I still use digital cutting files a lot too. It's a good mix of both. |
