About me

Gender Female
Occupation Chemistry postdoc
Location Nagoya, Japan
Introduction I'm from the UK... although some people say i'm not very Bristish ;) I did my degree in chemistry in York university, then a PhD in chemical reaction dynamics in Bristol university's LASER group. I really wanted to live abroad for a while, and in September 2007 I came to Nagoya, Japan to do a postdoc for two years. I'm paid by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, and have been measuring isotopes of CO2 in the atmosphere. When my contract finishes in September 2009 i'm planning to travel from South Korea to New Zealand ( or as far as I can get!) I guess travelling for a long time was always a sort of dream of mine and I realised recently that if you don't get up and do those things you want to do now, then well life just passes you by and you become one of those people always saying ...'one day...' Well I never want to be one of those people ;)...
