| Introduction | My agenda here is to persuade all my female readers to re-claim their place in the kitchen. Every woman, I believe has a culinary instinct. Because of a period of time in our history these instincts were squashed by our society. The role of homemaker was passe, looked down upon. Now don't get me wrong, improvements did come out of this time, but along the way we lost a part of ourselves. Ladies, let's change that. Let us relearn the fine art of home cooking. Not only is it less expensive than eating out, but it is healthier and more fulfilling. Hear me: I do not expect you to work all day, come home, cook and clean, then don a crisp sun dress and dutifully wait for your man with a martini in hand as he arrives home from the office. Instead I would like to show you how easy and satisfying it is to cook a meal for your friends and family. A meal is not just about stuffing your face, but instead it is about coming together and sharing food, drink and conversation. It is about engaging with one other and what better way than over a home cooked meal? Let's get to the fun part, let's talk food! |
