Introduction Manuel Aguirre (Arequipa, 1940), left the Army in 1971. In 1972, he published Razón de Silencio (Poems). In 2006, he published a novel, Una bala en la frente (Estruendo Mudo, Lima, Peru). In 2010, Les Fondeurs de Briques translated Una bala en la frente into French (Une balle dans le front) and published it in France. It received an excellent review from the famous literary critic, Mathieu Lindon, (Liberation October 21st, 2010). In 2013, Planeta-Perú republished Una bala en la frente. In 2016 he self-published (Create Space) the English version of (Una bala en la frente), A Bullet in His Forehead (the 1st novel of his saga Doubts & Murmurs) for sale in pb & Kindle on amazon. In May 2018 he self-published (Create Space) the English version of Adieu Chimeras (the second part of D&M), also in pb & Kindle. He is currently working (English version only) on the third part of D&M which has the provisional title of The Herd.
