About me

Gender Female
Location OREGON, United States
Introduction I admire & collect textiles from all over the world, & I love almost anything vintage. Everywhere I travel, which is another passion of mine, I am on the lookout for unusual or unique textiles. Food, yes food! Always enjoy the food of other cultures. Cooking and eating, oh yes, and I prefer the 'from scratch' method at home. I'll try anything in the kitchen. Most of my efforts are successful and others enjoy them too. Currently I am pursuing nearly full time my real passion, textile arts. I am interested in surface embellishment, shibori, rust dyeing & other processes to create this art. I am also a daughter, wife, mother & grandmother who has a FANTASTIC family, as well as a group of creative friends who share their ideas, opinions and impressions willingly & without reservation! In my working life many families & many children have taught me more than I can say about living in the world. I'll always be a grateful life long learner.
Interests The arts, textiles, dyeing & embellishing textiles, quilting, reading, learning, trying new things, travel, hiking, bicycling, family & friends, cheese making
