| Introduction | My wife and I own and operate Bear Butte Gardens near Sturgis, South Dakota. This is a small family farm that is USDA Organic Certified, and has a year-round farm stand, commercial kitchen, and vacation rental cottage. My day job is working as the Senior Database Administrator for Monument Health in Rapid City, SD. Since March of 2020, due to COVID-19, I've been working from home and love it! I was born and raised in the Lead/Deadwood area of South Dakota, attended Lead High School and graduated in 1985. In 2004, my wife and I founded Sturgis Center for the Arts, Inc. This is a 501(c)3 non-profit arts-based organization in Sturgis, SD. We were heavily involved in the day-to-day operation from 2004-2011. Before that, when our kids were younger, we were heavily involved in Scouting. |
