| Introduction | Welcome, to the inner workings of my mind. Well, sort of. I've wanted to start a blog for years but I have hesitated. I'm pretty private and also hyperaware of ever offending or dismissing anyone or any segment of society. That, and the awareness that I don't have anything particularly profound to say, nor am I as intelligent as I wish I were. I'm a writer with a handful of essays published in literary journals and I have an insatiable (or should I say, shameless) curiosity. So basically, this blog is my playground. A handful of random things about me: *I'm a mother of two girls (tween & teen) who are growing up too fast *I'm hitting midlife and wondering who I want to be in the next stage of life *I work part-time at a middle school library *I love animals and insects but prefer learning and looking over having responsibility for them *I'm a compulsive reader and take my book everywhere because you never know when you'll have a few minutes *I like to dance when I'm alone *I can't stop myself from wondering about everything (it gets tiring!) |
