Introduction	As an educator, for years I have had the desire to work abroad, particularly in Africa, so when the opportunity to 'step out of the box' presented itself earlier this year, I seized it. I am on sabbatical and will spend the school year working with curriculm development and pre-service teacher training in Nigeria. It is an exciting opportunity that had my name written on it.
