| Introduction | Welcome to my blog. As CFO to a private investor, managing his investments in New Zealand and Australia - I found myself in India setting up and managing a start-up company based in Mumbai (Bombay) on his behalf. With family ties to India, having the kiwi Number 8 Wire mentality (eg: I can do anything!) and experience in a range of industries & international business; I was certain that this would be an easy transition. What I faced was anything but easy! Managing as much as I could on my own, I effectively made my job as difficult as it could be. In light of my experience and what I learnt, I have set up a consulting business providing business services in Mumbai, specifically tailored to foreign companies or individuals looking to enter this market; based on my own experiences relocating and setting up a business in this metropolis of approximately 18 million souls!
