| Introduction | I'm a full-time Australian/Canadian writer. In 2006 I completed RMIT’s Diploma of Art (Professional Writing and Editing). My short stories and poetry have appeared in JAAM 27, Toward The Light, Untitled, BLOCK, Matrix Issue 82, Red Leaves Bi-lingual Literary Journal, Paroxysm Press's Ten Things that Didn't Kill Us, Switchback Issue 6, Vignette Press's The Death Mook, Voiceworks, VisInk's Collective Soul, and Noise. My Young Adult novel, The Islands, was long-listed for the Varuna-HarperCollins Manuscript Award 2008, received Varuna's Pathways to Publication Masterclass Residency 2008, and made me a finalist for Young Writer of the Year 2007 by the Sunshine Coast Literary Association. In 2006 I was a nominee in the Spirit of Youth Australia Awards in the words category judged by Jude McGee from Allen and Unwin. |
