| Introduction | My name is Oyin which means honey and bee in my language Yoruba, hence, the title of the blog. I'm a Nigerian American and i love both parts of my culture as extremely different as they are. I'm currently a middler at Northeastern University majoring in Behavioral Neuroscience and minoring in Ethics.. we'll see how that works in the future. I love to art and i'm a very creative person. I draw, paint, knit, crochet, sew, dance and a whole bunch of other things. I love to learn about new cultures and absolutely love to read, you could call me a bookworm. I'm not your typical girl, not as easy to figure out or understand nor do i follow the beat of any drum. I create my own beat and march at my own pace and i don't try to change for anyone. Those who know can attest to that. I'm pretty easy going. I believe there's a lot of joy to be gained in the simple things in life and that laughter and smiling heals all. |
