| Introduction | I am a philanthropist and human rights activist whose current passions include making clean water and adequate food accessible to everyone, promoting world literacy, fighting pediatric cancer and helping the people of Darfur. I also love reading, talking about books and getting or giving recommendations on what to read next. I can remember a passage from a book I read 20 years ago, but not where I put my keys 5 minutes ago. This makes me the person you want on your trivia team and the last person you want holding your car keys for you. I am a happy wife, a proud mother and hopelessly in love with my granddaughter (who really is the smartest and most beautiful baby in the universe). When I am not fending off advances from George Clooney, you can find me in the library or at Starbucks. |
