| Introduction | As a young person having lived and rented in Boston, I've struggled with the limited freedom there is when trying to design and decorate a tiny apartment. After all, when you're only renting, how do you know when to spend your hard-earned money on lovely furniture when it may not fit somewhere else later on? How can you decorate without feeling like you're back in a college dorm room, when most of your money is going to food and housing? Where do you buy the practical stuff that feels like you without buying what everyone already has from Ikea? These are all questions that I've asked myself since living in Boston and the questions that I hope to answer for the rest of us out there. This blog was made for all the people living the city dream in closet-sized bedrooms everywhere. Including those who don't have closets, have floors like ski slopes, doors that won't close, and rear windows with a view of a brick wall. |
