| Introduction | Dr. Srinivas Goli is an Assistant Professor of Population Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He did his Masters and Ph.D. in Population Studies from International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, India. He is teaching Fertility Studies, Family Planning, Family Demography, Gender and Quantitative Methods in Social Science Research at JNU. His research deals with Formal Demography, Family Demography, Inequalities in Health, Nutrition and Gender status and its Social Determinants. He has been working on modelling of fertility, mortality and health transition and convergence across the states and social groups in India. Currently, he is involved in collaborative projects with Western Australia University, Australia on Women and Child Health and Nutrition, Socio-Economic Inequalities in Demographic and Health Outcomes in the State of Uttar Pradesh. |
