| Introduction | Adelina and Dori are mother and daughter. Dori was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer in 2006 at 17 years old. She received two rounds of radioactive iodine therapy and two surgeries consisting of complete thyroid removal as well as removal of 39 lymph nodes. As of now, she is seeing her endocrinologist twice a year and is doing well. Adelina was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer in 2009. She underwent surgery to remove her entire thyroid, and one round of radioactive iodine therapy. She is also doing well, and sees her endocrinologist yearly. |
