| Introduction | I have never really thought of myself as a political person. I have never fully agreed with any one group ideas or issues that were being fought over. As a kid growing up my parents did not talk about politics nor did they elaborate or explain anything that had to do with our government. The only experience I have had with politics has been any projects that we did in school. I voted last year for the first time and am very proud of myself for recognizing the strengths that I thought were important in my decision. Like a lot of people I am taking this class because it is on my curriculum, but I hopeful this class with help with my confidence in our political system. I am eager to learn more about U.S. politics and hope by the end of this class I will be able to understand better. I took the survey and it listed me as a Conservative Democrat with a basic description of having “a religious orientation and conservative views.” Let’s see if this holds true. |
