| Introduction | The Liverpool Empowerment Centre, based in Rodney Street, Liverpool, is a combined therapy and training centre, specialising in counselling training and counselling. It caters for clients and students throughout North West England. The Centre was formed by Jo Edwards, a qualified and experienced psychotherapist, hypnotherapist, lecturer, and coach who has practised in Rodney Street for fifteen years. The Centre provides a range of personal therapies (including hynotherapy, counselling, psychotherapy, CBT and NLP), clinics, workshops and accredited training. Each of the practitioners is qualified and experienced in their range of therapies and where appropriate have clinical supervision and Continuing Professional Development. Early 2011 saw the commencement of accredited counselling courses and places are currently still available. (These courses were formerly taught by Jo Edwards at the Liverpool Community College but the College has ceased to hold them.) These courses include Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Concepts, Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills and Level 4 Diploma in the Theory and Practice of Counselling. These are accredited by ABC Awards. |
