| Introduction | Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts (ACMA) is a non-profit, one of its kind organization in India, creating a context for the development of contemporary cultural expressions, particularly in the performance arts. It does this by facilitating new expressions in dance and digital arts across the country.Attakkalari also has a wide range of activities and interests that include Education Outreach projects, a Diploma in Movement Arts & Mixed Media (the first of its kind in India), Research & Documentation projects, Technical solutions in light & sound design and a Repertory Company which performs at prestigious festivals around the world and in India. The Repertory Company also has `YUVA' a new inhouse platform to encourage the development of young choreographers. All fully developed YUVA pieces are widely performed across India. |
