My blogs
| Introduction | Many years ago, as a young man, I studied pottery and maintained a studio, neither for long enough. For the next few decades I worked as a carpenter, earned a PhD in philosophy, taught philosophy and religion, studied and practiced (mostly Zen) Buddhism, and raised two wonderful children. Recently I have again opened a pottery studio, Hazy Moon Pottery, in Westerlo, New York. The luminous beauty of the Helderberg Mountains with a view of the Catskills, a pond, the forest and a mountain stream, the vast sky, abundant wild life, two cats and a dog, and my wife Loretta, inspire me. I want to help bring wisdom and compassion into the world. Can pottery do that? |
