| Introduction | New Shoes is a creative learning programme set up by mac birmingham’s Next Generation team in order to encourage the development of creative and community conscious young people in Birmingham. Working in partnership with a range of partners across the city it offers support for young people in challenging circumstances, enabling them to acquire lifelong skills; realise their future creative potential and make positive contributions to society through creative opportunities.It is for young people aged 16-24 who are not currently in full time Employment Education or Training, from Birmingham who are interested in the arts or want to learn more about them and have, or want to develop ideas for projects, events or enterprises which can have a positive benefit in their local area. New Shoes is currently running a number of projects and this blog aims to capture and share their journey. |
