| Introduction | It's been a long road. I've struggled tremendously with low self-esteem and self confidence, as well as my ongoing challenges with anxiety and depression. Oh, and I have five children--two from two past relationships and the last three made their debut after I got married. So it's been a very interesting life, complete with having to prove myself against those negative "single mom" stereotypes that have defined most of my adult life. But I have my writing, which allows me to send the message that anything can be accomplished through dedication and hard work, no matter where one has come from. |
