| Introduction | Growing up in the lower income bracket, having something to eat was not always a guarantee. So food was precious. But even still, food and clothing had a very strong rival in my eyes. That rival was books. Reading. The ability to get transported away to different worlds. My mom always said that if the choice came down to books or food, I would choose books every time. Reading has been my first and only true love for as long as I can remember. And that love of reading became a love for writing. Written word is how I express my feelings, how I earn my income, and how I get through each day. Writing is my life. So it stands to reason that - when it comes down to it - my path in life was, is, and will always be...writing. |
