| Introduction | In 1983, Butoni – Hong Kong, was founded by Indonesian born Hong Kong designer, Ika. With her vision in mind, the company produces high-fashion garments for export all over the world. Her partner, John Keilman, joined Butoni in 1993, gradually grown to be the solid pillar in the development and production of the company. The company has been manufacturing and exporting globally, e.g. UK, Ireland, Germany, Denmark, France, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Indonesia, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Middle East, South America and the United States. The success of Butoni is credited to great team work and unusual design that differs from the current trend. With accessories as the final touches to each finished garment, the intricate patterns with lots of handwork and embroideries are distinctive with a mixture of tradition and modernity. Ika continually innovates these attributes into her collections. |
