Introduction 2005: Started my interest in photography, from going on walks in & around my local area (Berkshire UK) snapping various shots using a camera phone. Although great fun, it soon became apparent that I was very limited with the quality of shots that the camera phone could take. Wanting to expand my photography skills, I decided to purchase a FujiFinePix S5500. 2006: I bought two additional lens/filters to experiment with, a Macro (close-up) lens as well as Infra-red filter. 2007: I realised that I had learnt as much as I could with my Fuji & found that I was hitting limitations of what I could achieve for certain shots. So after a long period of researching various cameras I decided to purchase the Nikon D300 to allow me to progress my learning further, as this camera had the functionality to allow me to get the shots I required. Now armed with my D300 I started to try out new types of Photography, especially HDR which combines a series of shots at varying exposures, to capture as much tonal information as possible, then merged into one file that maps the full range of luminance across the final image.
