Introduction	When it comes to food, Chef Skye Elder has never had to separate himself from his origins. Born and raised in the Rogue Valley, practicing professionally in Portland ( the Willamette Valley), and now as the Executive Chef at The Historic Pine Tavern, “Oregon” is the word. Chef Elder took his first Chef’s appointment at the age of twenty-four as the Corporate Chef for Pacific City Brewing in Pacific City Oregon. From there, he went on to become the Executive Chef at Touche in Portland’s Pearl District, a position he held for a decade. Now at the Pine Tavern, Chef Elder brings his understanding and commitment to local, seasonal, ingredients to one of Oregon’s true culinary landmarks. “Technique driven food that celebrates the northwest seasons and producers,” is being offered at the Pine Tavern under Chef Elder; dishes that start with excellent ingredients and are prepared using strong technique and cooking principles.
