| Introduction | Irena Bluhm was born and raised in Poland and lived in Germany for 10 years, before she moved into United States in 1991. Since she became a longarm machine quilter in November 2004, her quilts have won multiple awards. Her work has been published in numerous quilting magazines. Irena started teaching long arm quilting nationwide in March 2006 at MQX 2006, 2007, HMQS 2007, MQS 2007, AQS 2007 in Paducah, Innovations 2006 and 2007, MQS 2008, AQS Quilt Expo 2008 in Des Moines, IA. She is planning on a very busy teaching at many major venues in 2011: MQX,MQS,MMQS,QWM,Innovations,IQF in Houston and numerous private workshops nationwide and abroad. Her multiple award winning quilts are all of original design and have been exhibited in many different and most prestigious national and international quilt shows since May 2005. Irena has created hundreds of quilting patterns. Only a very small portion of her quilting patterns is available on the market. She has authored ten books, several workbooks and DVD's. |
