Introduction	Inspired by real life stories of her Finnish-American family who homesteaded on the S. Dakota prairie, Lorna Beall has written several middle-grade novels including, "Model T Biscuits." Her daughter, Jana Segal, critiqued several drafts which inspired her to work with her mother to adapt it into a script that won first place at the Santa Clarita Family Film Festival and Moondance short screenplay competitions. The mother-daughter team eventually hope to produce the movie version. Jana recently finished writing a comedy/fantasy set in modern day Tombstone called, "Behind the OK Corral." Jana produced, wrote, and directed other shorts including, "Desert Angel" about a pioneer couple lost at Christmas. She performed a storytelling version called, "The Christmas Guest." which was included in the Teller of Tales recording. Jana has performed dramatic readings of historical documents at Tombstone Territorial Rendezvous. She also performed humorous true stories at Odyssey Storytelling.
